Centranthus ruber 'Rosy Red'

The bold colour paired with delicate blooms is a rare combination. It has fascinated me since it first emerged in bloom in my second-year garden.

Better on its own than in a group. It fills in by year two and gives other early bloomers something to riff against.

Renews by seed. Seedlings vary from the parent.
